Here are a few of the most frequently asked questions regarding meal plans at Moravian College.

Do I need to purchase a meal plan?

You may need to purchase a meal plan based on your housing selection. If you are living on campus you will need to select a gold, silver or bronze meal plan. Commuter students and students, Faculty and Staff living off campus can select any meal plan that fits their lifestyle. For additional information, please head to Moravian's Tuition & Fees webpage and scroll down to Meal Plans.

What can I purchase with a meal?

Meals can be used in any dining location on the Moravian College Campus (Marketplace, Clewell, The B&G, and Root Cellar). Meals can be used to enter into Marketplace and Clewell for any meal period. A Meal or Meal Exchange can be used in The B&G and Root Cellar towards any food made to order (Sandellas, Corner Deli, Salad, 26 Point Grill, Pandinis, Starbucks, Simply To Go Grab and Go Items, and bakery goods). Meal Exchange for breakfast is $4.40. For lunch, dinner, and late night is $6.00. Meals or Meal exchange can not be used to buy prepackaged items such as bottled beverages, bagged chips, and candy.

How does my meal plan work? How frequently can I use my meals with in a week?

New this year students, faculty and staff are able to use meals at your discretion. There is no specific amount you have to use within each meal period or a week. Meals “roll over” each week that are not used. You can track your Meal Swipes and Dining Dollars during the semester by asking any cashier in one of our dining facilities for your current balance or log into OneWeb. To login, use your NETID (YOUR MORAVIAN EMAIL) and your password (AMOS PASSWORD).

Do meals carry over from semester to semester?

Block meals may be used during the semester in which they are purchased. They do not carry over from semester to semester.

Can I use my meal plan over semester breaks?

Yes! New this year Moravian College is allowing Students, Staff and Faculty to use meals and DD$ in locations that are open during semester breaks such as Fall Break, Winter Break, Spring Break and Easter Break. 

What are Dining Dollars?

Dining Dollars are extra dollars you get with your meal plans that can be used in any dining location on the Moravian College campus. Dining Dollars can be used on made-to-order food or prepackaged items. All residential accounts come with $200.00 and Rechargeable/Commuter Plans come with $25.00. If you would like to add funds to your account you can add to your M-Flex account at

Do Dining Dollars carry over from year to year?

Dining Dollars carry over from the Fall Semester to the Spring Semester.  When you purchase a new meal plan in the Spring the new DD$ will join any existing DD$ if you should have available after the fall semester concludes. At the end of the Spring semester any remaining dining dollars are forfeited. They do not carry over from summer to a new fall semester.

Can I change my meal plan if it does not fit my needs?

Yes! Changing to a different meal plan can be done during the first two weeks of each semester. You can select from another meal plan depending on your housing selection. New this year for our commuters and off campus Students, Faculty and Staff you can add rechargeable meal plans as it best fits your lifestyle throughout the fall and spring semester. 


What is M-Flex?

M-Flex is an on-campus debit account linked to your student ID that gives you the convenience of having funds at all times without carrying cash around! Students, staff, and faculty can use their M-Flex accounts at all campus dining locations, the Moravian College bookstore, the Health Center and vending machines. The following credit cards are accepted to purchase additional funds to your M-flex account Visa, MasterCard and Discover. For more additional info please click this link.  

How can I check/add funds to my M-Flex account balance?

Balances can be obtained by calling the Bursar’s Office, checking with any cashier in one of our dining facilities, or using OneWebTo login, use your NETID (YOUR MORAVIAN EMAIL) and your password (AMOS PASSWORD)You may also add money to your M-Flex account by logging onto OneWeb

Who is eligible to use an M-Flex account?

Any Moravian College student, Faculty or Staff member with a valid ID card is eligible to use their M-Flex account. This account is established when the ID card is produced. For more additional info please click this link.  

How do I get a refund of amounts posted to my M-Flex account?

Refunds are given upon graduation or withdrawal from the College.

Does Moravian College Dining Services have an app to support my meal plan?

Coming soon! In Fall 2017 Moravian Dining Services will have a mobile app available for students to download to their smartphone and track you meals, DD$, and even order ahead to the B&G for pick up. More information to come!
